Junior Drama Presents Robin Hood
Here at NW1 Theatre School, we believe that theatre helps children develop valuable skills that will last a lifetime. Our Junior Drama club is a great place for children to release their creativity and explore the world of performing arts. Join us for our weekly rehearsals as we prepare for our upcoming production of Robin Hood, playing in March 2024!
We are proud to announce that our very own Charlie Denny has been awarded Student of the Year 2023. Charlie has shown tremendous progress, hard work, enthusiasm, and contribution to our theatre school. As a LAMDA, drama and Musical Theatre student, he has excelled in both music and drama, and we are excited to see where his talent takes him in the future.
Professional Performance Opportunities
We are thrilled to announce that our students will be performing in Dreamcoat Superstars at the Lowther Pavilion in Lytham on April 30th, 2024. Our students will have the opportunity to perform alongside some of the biggest names in Musical Theatre, and we cannot wait to see their talent on display. At NW1 Theatre School, we pride ourselves on providing our students with professional performance opportunities, and we know that this experience will be invaluable to their growth as performers.

The Staff that keep NW1 going!
Chris Campbell
Principal
Chris is the owner and Principal of NW1 Theatre School. As the Head of Acting at the school, Chris teaches group and private LAMDA sessions as well as audition prep and working with our Actors Management talent. Working as a professional actor, Chris has appeared on stage and TV, most recently in Coronation Street. He is also technical and artistic director for NW1 Drama Company.
Lynda Clarkson
Vice Principal & Head of Drama
Lynda joins the team at NW1, bringing with her years of experience as a well respected director and stage practitioner. Lynda teaches in the Musical Theatre and Acting classes and is also our LAMDA coordinator and teacher.
Grace Healy
Head of Dance
Grace is our Head of Dance, teaching in our Musical Theatre and Streetdance classes. Grace completed her training in dance and musical theatre with Phil Winston's Theatreworks. Working as a professional dancer and dance instructor since 2016, she brings a wealth of experience in various dance styles.
Sam Thomas
Head of Music
Sam is Head of Music at NW1. He completed his BA Hons in Musical Theatre at the University of Central Lancashire. A contemporary musical theatre song writer, Sam brings a wealth of experience in teaching vocal technique and music for performance.

At NW1 Theatre School, we have a team of passionate and highly qualified theatre professionals, including Amy Campbell, a recent graduate of UCLAN university with extensive performance experience. As head of Mini Musical Theatre and a LAMDA teacher, Amy is dedicated to sharing her expertise and helping our students reach their full potential.
As our Ballet and Tap teacher, Sophie is a graduate of The Hammond in Cheshire with a BA Hons in Musical Theatre. Her passion and dedication to teaching make her an asset to our team. We are proud to have her on board, and we look forward to seeing our students thrive under her guidance.
Lucy Appleton
Drama Teacher
Lucy is a qualified drama practitioner, and has a BA Hons is drama from Edgehill University. Lucy brings years of experience in performing on stage and screen and teaching, she loves to teach drama to children and young adults.
Phil Sykes
Head of Productions
Phil studied at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, graduating with Dip.Professional Stage management in 2002.
Since this time, Phil has been working continuously in theatres across the UK, as Stage Manager, and more recently as Company Manager for major touring and west end musical productions. Phil is Head of Productions, providing his invaluable skill and extensive experience to productions at our school.
Emma Campbell
Business Manager and Safeguarding Officer
The administration team at NW1 Theatre School is a well-oiled machine, working tirelessly to keep everything running like clockwork. Our business manager and safeguarding officer Emma, ensures that every aspect of our operation is in order and is the key contact for parents and students alike.
Mandy Atkinson
Lead Chaperone & Student Wellbeing Officer
Mandy is a crucial part of our school community, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all students participating in our plays and musicals. Additionally, she serves as our student wellbeing officer, providing support and guidance to all our students.
