Our Chosen Charity 2025
This year, we are incredibly proud to be supporting Live Like Ralph, a local Lytham-based charity that is making a heartfelt and lasting impact within our community. Their work not only provides access to skateboarding, creative opportunities and supportive community spaces, but it also encourages confidence, connection and self-expression in those who need it most. It is a privilege to stand alongside such a passionate and meaningful cause, and we look forward to contributing to the amazing work Live Like Ralph is doing throughout the year.

About Live Like Ralph
Live Like Ralph (LLR) is a charitable organisation set up in honour of Ralph Roberts, who sadly passed away on the 3rd of January 2021 as a result of an undiagnosed and rare condition, Sarcoidosis
Ralph was a talented skateboarder, award winning artist, cyclist, designer, musician and above all a kind person. It is LLR's mission to help support young people involved in these positive activities so that they can continue to grow. We believe, as Ralph did, that by nurturing these communities, and all of the potential talent that lies within them, the positive impact they can have is extraordinary.
In the last 3 years LiveLikeRalph has contributed to some the following good causes:
-
Built Ralph’s House, an indoor skatepark in Blackpool where children can learn to skate in a safe environment with equipment and coaching from LLR
-
Supported teenage musicians/songwriters with instruments, recording studio costs and provided platforms for them to perform
-
Established Ralphfest, a positive community festival featuring the talents of local young people with music, art, skateboarding and even wrestling!
-
Organised inclusive cycle training and an annual event, the Tour de Ralph, a coast to coast challenge for everyone
-
Replaced stolen bikes and donated bikes to deserving charities and individuals
LLR is looking to expand all the good work it does across the NorthWest in the next year as we look for much appreciated support from NW1, its performers, parents and audiences
